I was sooo excited when I found that a site like this existed so I’m thrilled to be here! I’m like “I finally found my peeps” lol. That’s hilarious that someone actually tried to post that on Donkey Kong, as if us true retro gamers wouldn’t see right through that bs ๐Ÿคฃ But yes, I will definitely use handbrake from here on out on long vids, thank y’all so much for the help. I will def give Sorcerer/Taxing difficulty another shot when Im able to carve out that time again! And thx for the compliment, I have played the ever-loving-daylights out of this game lol. I think that it is an absolute masterpiece and definitely a hidden gem. Definitely encourage the community here to give it a try. The crafting system is so unique for an arcade style game, I think there’s like 96 recipes for the cauldron. But again, thx for everything and thank you for the work that you do on this site! Again, so glad to be here because retro gaming is my lifeblood and it’s so good to find others who have the same passion, able to compete, and admire each other’s skills. Take care friend!

Well, I think I speak for everyone here when I say it is GREAT to have you here, and WELCOME to LvlUp! Yes, unfortunately 10 or 20 bad apples have done some real shady crap in the past ... I'm tellin' ya, you wouldn't BELIEVE some of the hilarious garbage that went on ๐Ÿ˜†. At the site most of us migrated to LvlUp from, some dude submitted some ridiculous score like 1 trillion points on Donkey Kong, and he created 20 fake accounts to vote on and immediately approve it ๐Ÿคญ.

Yes, you can absolutely upload a 4 hour video to YouTube, and then use that evidence here to validate a score claim. I, myself, have submitted several 12+ hour performances. I was able to use the app that Marco1019 mentioned below, Handbrake (it's freeware), as it does a great job at creating really small video files from really long video source files. You do NOT have to reduce your resolution in your recording settings. Just video record as you would normally do, load the finished final video file into Handbrake, and then select "Reduce file size to 100 MB", or whatever file size you want to end up with, and Handbrake will create a file with your video with that file size. When you do that, Handbrake might reduce the resolution on the output file, but only as much as it needs to to shrink the file size down to the size you selected. You can even have it split the video into multiple video files for even more flexibility. Here is the result of splitting a 20GB, 14+ hour video performance of one achievement into two separate and small video files uploaded to YouTube:

We'll keep your score here up for another few days before it gets soft deleted. The good news is that although it will obviously take a few hours, you appear to be a total BEAST at this game, and could likely get this same score or better. I would highly encourage you to give it another shot, and maybe even demolish THIS score, as beast-mode as it already is. Not only would the leaderboard then reflect the best player at this game variation, but it gives the entire LvlUp community bragging rights that LvlUp is where the best in the world at this game hangs out at. ๐Ÿค˜

I'm one of the few site admins, so please feel free to let me know if you ever need assistance with anything, and again, welcome, and we are glad to have you here!

I completely understand. Unfortunately, I did not record it because I was not aware of this website until afterwards and all I took was a photo of my final score. I was talking to some friends of mine about how cool it would be if we could submit our scores on a worldwide leaderboard, and then I came across this site only to realize that I would need video footage of the gameplay for it to be valid. Totally understand though. I just hate that people actually for real submitted fake scores. Ruins it for the pure retro enthusiasts like myself. Also, what if the gameplay is like 4 hours long? That’s how long it took to get that score. Guess I would need to shrink the resolution so it won’t take so long to upload to YouTube.

Unfortunately, due to a long sordid history of others submitting photo-only evidence for top scores, having one or more others simply vouching for the submitter with claims they witnessed the achievement, just to ultimately discover the achievement never occurred, including video of the entire performance gameplay is *required* for any non-legacy score to remain in the Top 3 on the leaderboard, even if that submission receives the requisite amount of YES votes by the community to become "APPROVED". There are very few exceptions to this mandate. I've read the comments below and it appears likely that you did not video record this performance. Can you please confirm this is the case? If it ends up being the case, the score will be what we refer to as "soft deleted", meaning that if any point in the future, video evidence of the achievement becomes available, we can restore the score on the leaderboard, and there is no time limit. The score will no longer appear on the leaderboard, however, you can certainly make additional attempts and submit, provided video evidence of the entire gameplay is included.

Hello! You may or may not be aware of a free application called Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr/) which does an outstanding job with shrinking large files. I used it to shrink a 1GB file to < 100MB. I recommend it, as would others.

I understand, I’m new to the site, discovered it after getting the score so the pics is all I had, would have taken like 4 hours of gameplay footage. Will upload vids in future.
