Great question. The first Atari Flashback is not a console that emulates the Atari 2600, rather, it is "NES-on-a-chip" and all of the built in games are remakes and not identical to the OEM Atari 2600 games, therefore it has its own category. Every Flashback model released thereafter, however, operates using software emulation, and the built in games are the actual OEM Atari 2600 ROMs. Therefore, any performance from one that is submitted here should be submitted their respective Atari 2600 "Emulated" leaderboards.

Hey there, quick question, I have an Atari flashback 2 with centipede on it. But I wasn’t sure how to submit a score from that system. I see that there’s an Atari flashback as an option to choose for the game centipede, but not an Atari flashback 2. If I were to submit a score from this system, would I choose Atari 2600 emulated or an Atari flashback original hardware? Just wondering how I should go about submitting a score from my Atari flashback 2 since it isn’t listed as a system on the website. Thx!
