So looks like, according to the game's manual (https://www.gamesdatabase.org/Media/SYSTEM/Arcade//Manual/formated/Super_Bug_-_1977_-_Atari.pdf), "extend time" is the score you need to hit to extend your playtime. For the default of 90 seconds, the options are 140, 160, or 180 points. Meaning your changing that value did not impact the game outcome either way.
We probably should decide what the settings should be and specify them directly, instead of just "default". I'm personally fine with keeping it as easy.

Atari Vault: Super Bug
PC [Steam]
I checked the scores for Super Bug (Arcade/Emulated) and they were all achieved with :90 seconds of Game Time and Extended Time set for Medium, so while this game has a default of :90 Seconds/Easy I went with :90 Seconds/Medium.
Initially I submitted this score under Arcade/Emulated, but happened to remember that Atari Vault was in the HS Data Base. I checked and it is here as well, although not Super Bug. I assume that this is because this was part of the Atari Vault 50 Game Add On Pack DLC, released in November of 2019. Since it was missing here I added it.
