LUPS = Lvl Up PointS
Basically giving each user a score or ranking on the site. Each top score is worth 100x the # of scores on that leaderboard.
So, with only 1 score on a leaderboard, that score earns 100 LUPS. With 5 scores on the leaderboard, top score earns 500 LUPS.
Smaller scores earn 100 LUPS per position, times the % value compared to the top score. (Or, something like that.)

Continue posting more and more scores on Al Unser Jr for NES. Much more opportunities to collect more cups and accumulate LUPS.
