It has 2 slide bars on the sides that may need adjusting per game but I tend to have found the sweet spot that basically works with all of them. They adjust how much pressure you want each direction to take. And the bottom switches turn on and off self centering. Most games play better with self centering, like Pacman, and Popeye, but a few specific analog games are better without, like Missile Command and Gorf.

Oh. I don't have that part either! I just use the stock controller's keypad. The adapter will hook the Wico to the standard stock controller just to use its start button and keypad. As long as your start button works on a stock controller, that's all it needs to work!

Yeah Pac-Man is such a nightmare with stock controllers! I actually have the adapter, just not the other part of the controller with start button and number buttons.

Yup its great! And yup, needs the adapter. I was lucky that when my neighbor gave me their 5200 it came with the Wico with its adapter attached. I attribute it to many of my high scores. Certain games are better with the Wico over the standard controller that's forsure! It still has full analog but with spring loaded centering. It's especially good for Pac-Man and River Raid as well!
