checked original hardware evidence : OK, console, cartridge (powerpak) and controller on video
checked settings : P03 / 5 hearts / Timer = 300@ start
For me the variation of lvlupscore "First Playthrough 1-life" mean, this is a 1 life performance, any death = game over.
i didn't watch the full video. For the leeching part, because there's a timer in game (if timer = 0 = death) and that's a variation with 1 life only, i don't see any issues to leech/farm. (i like this kind of gaming), so i don't have issues on my side.
I dont know if there's a way to earn timer points on this game, by an item for example, but i think that's not something available.
This is also a run glitchless, which is fine to me.
Glitches shown on this video of youtube for people who don't know : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJYESJPcG1s
checked final score : 999 999pts @ 20:58 999 999pts @ 36:30 + 171200pts @40:07 = 2171200 : OK

No worries at all. I appreciate the open dialogue. I do not necessarily agree with it myself, I am simply trying to maximize based on the preexisting rules.

I appreciate your opinion and decision to vote no. In my experience, in the scoring world, point pressing is differentiated from leeching by an in-game timer in a lot of cases. Since this is a 1 life category, the goal is to get as many points as possible before the timer of the level expires. If the scoring methods were infinite, meaning I could keep doing it forever, then it would be considered point leeching. I realize that everyone will have their own way of interpreting the rules. I just thought I would give you some context based on rules from other sites, and historically in the scoring realm.
