Thanks. I'm just about old enough to remember the late 70s arcades and I recall several of these games in the real world. Not this one though, but I did play Midway's Sea Wolf a lot as a kid.

Destroyer, an arcade game released by Atari in 1977. Played here on the 11th April 2021 in Atari Vault. Played as part of the "Atari April" event at www.lvlupscore.com. This game was played at the default settings, which gives you 1 minute and 15 seconds to score as many points as you can by sinking submarines with depth charges. I didn't quite get to the extended play.

You can control the ships speed, when to launch the charges and at what depth they will explode (move the dotted line up and down). Once launched, the explosion depth for each charge is fixed and can't be adjusted. Simple, but fun.

Time stamps:
00:20 Game start.
01:40 Time's up, final score 2,375.
01:49 Checking the settings to show the default of 1:15 with extended play if you reach 2,500 points.
