Well, its CPU does have to do all the work; and it slightly slower than the Spectrum. But Amstrad has more colours etc. So yeah, that all combined gives more slow down. And most of the conversions were done to cqsh in quickly. Chase H.Q. for example is very good because it was specifically written from scratch for the Amstrad. Same story for the MSX European ports....
