Arena 3000 is a Robotron: 2084 themed arena shooter from Microdeal. Released on many formats, including such obscure machines as the Oric, the BBC Micro version was released in 1983 and was written by Roger Jane.
The game is quite simple, just the core of the arena-shooter concept and little else. Blast screens of enemies again and again, although you do get different names for each arena and different robot designs, both of which are a nice touch.
Simple, frantic, shooting action. What is not to love? Ok, it does lack in variety a little.
This run was made on the 21st February 2026 using the Pantheon emulator on PC. The game has no user adjustable skill levels. The score reached was 32,253 points.
