I don't know, I watched a bit of long play, and thought I did same thing, feed the creatures with worms. Maybe I'll try another release, if this was bugged. Or I'll have to watch that long play again, if I missed something obvious...

Yeah score is valid, don't really know how you made points or lose health but it's valid. To save the stuff above my educated guess would be to try to climb on a bubble and see what happens.
