Invaders is a version of the arcade classic fixed shooter for the BBC Micro. It was released by Superior Software in 1982 and was written by John Dyson, one of the founders of the company. The game is called Invaders on the box, but Space Invaders in the program itself.
This game follows the standard Space Invaders formula closely. Colouful, noisy and with responsive controls, it may look a little different from the original arcade game, but a BBC owner in 1982 would have been very happy with this version.
This run was made on the 22nd November 2025 using the Pantheon emulator on PC. There are no skill levels and the final score reached was 1,790 points.
