Find it hard to believe that x milliseconds turns a crap game into a good game, but that probably just me 😂

It's not an issue or prohibited to play with NTSC. There are only a few games (OutRun on C64) where the game was not programmed well. So there we made a distinction between PAL & NTSC.
For the Spectrum and Amstrad there is no NTSC available as they were not available in that region. But the C64 was.
And it is not an advantage. Contrary, playing in PAL is an advantage as you've got x milliseconds more time to react 😉

But they were programmed to PAL, so is it allowed to play them under NTSC? Would that not give an advantage in some games? I suppose this was programmed for PAL, as it was released by Imagine Software. It would be as if I loaded an old Spectrum Basic program on my Next speeding it up to be more pleasant and smoother, but its not the real deal, and would be wrong in my believes.

Interesting, I must try NTSC-mode too. Always liked the colors of NTSC more than PAL, at least on the Basic screen :-)

I prefer playing it in NTSC. Much smoother. And yes, faster too. But after a while your eyes get used to it. Most C64 games are perfectly playable on NTSC models. Only had a few occasions where the gfx were too much glitched.
A lot of games are NTSC fixed. I get them here: https://csdb.dk/
Quite like the Easyflash versions too. Which includes everything (loading screen etc) and loads super fast.

Does NTSC make it faster, cause it was probably written for PAL. The C64 version I’ve tried is horrible, and it should be played under PAL right?

Try the C64 version in NTSC mode. The Speccy is also good and was one of my favorite games back then (still have the original cassette). But quite a lot slower than the C64 NTSC version.

Good to know, I must try zx-version, when I'll take my Spectrum back to desk :-)

Don't like it much either. Never tried a version as good as the Spectrum, and probably never will :-)

Neat, you got a bit further :-) This is surprisingly tedious version.
