Dig Dug is a version of the famous arcade game for the VIC-20, released in 1983 by Atarisoft. The game was released on a hefty 16K cartridge.
This is about as accurate a conversion of the arcade game that you could expect on a VIC. The graphics are smooth and colourful, the sound features music and effects very similar to the arcade game and the gameplay is spot on. If you were a fan of Dig Dug and owned a VIC-20, this would not have been a disappointment. Personally, I have never been a fan of Dig Dug, so this game doesn't really appeal to me, but that is just my own viewpoint.
This run was made on the 25th February 2024 using the Pantheon emulator on PC. There are no adjustable skill levels and the final score was 7,370 points.
Time stamps:
00:30 Title / Options screen.

02:07 Second life lost.
