my daughter just turned 3 in november but I don't think she's ready yet for videogames. I believe it's a cultural thing in my family but I tend to think kids that young shoudn't be exposed to screens. She's already watching too much TV at my taste. I think when she'll be ready, she'll ask to play test some games.
For now, she is just watching me playing sometimes, commenting things she recognizes, I've tried to explain a bit like "dad is the big blue plane and have to destroy the red ones" but I don't really know if she understand all that occurs. She usually watch for 5-10 minutes and return to her games.

Hehe. Just by playing I exposed her to Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 when she turned 2. The only thing she could do was press a button to make Mario jump, but she loved it. Pressing that button, making Mario jump, she herself jumping with him. Laughing.
Later at 3 she ran into some of my retro adventures for lvlupscore.com and my youtube channel. hence a couple of high score postings from her a couple of years ago.
From then on she went to explore Minecraft, Roblox and that kind of stuff. Only natural for a kid her age.. These she still does till this day, but every now and then she plays some Mario or Kirby on switch.. She became quite decent at Mario Kart even. And now sometimes she again runs into my retro adventures and quite naturally wants to join.. It's lovely
