Odd. I think I always check the score fully. Guess it is the age starting to kick in :)

well, the Zen originals are not that good for most of them. I really dislike they have decided to not port one of my favorite from pinball FX2: Ms Splosion Man :(

Yeah, definitely the best engine. Though it is a pity they were lazy on the achievements part. Exactly the same achievement per pinball table. And only one.
I will not buy the Zen originals as I don't find it worth to buy them three times.

this is not of their will. It is Williams move to sell the licenses or not for the others tables. The gamble here is the number of sales they would have by recreating tables, as they already released their most best selling pinball machines, it is quite hard now to find a new combinaison of three which will sell well.
Don't forget these pinball companies are greedy and don't really understand how the videogame market works, they don't see the sales numbers in terms of months but immediate profit, and I think their share on each sale is consequent (between 30 and 50%), add the 30% share taken by Steam (Epic Games don't count as it is just a freebie giver for most of their users) and you'll understand why no tables are coming anymore.
Many pinball tables also have copyrighted musics and voices (addams family is a really good example of all this crap), and even 40 years after the original release, voice actors, artists and music composers want their share on this too, leading pinball recreation a very risky process if the sales are too low.
So yes, they take money again for tables you already own in another game of the franchise, but all tables have been recreated from scratch, so it's months of work. From what I understood, they even resampled every sound and music and re-recorded every sound from the original machines (bumpers, hole, magnets....) for a genuine 100% experience of the real stuff.

I believe you noticed how the tables look and feel more close to the real hardware in this version. Colors are brightful, you have ray tracing for lights, sounds are better and more immersive, physics have been improved: ball feels heavier, imo this is the definitive edition of pinball FX. Of course, new technology may be available in the future as we have access to more cpu/gpu power so another version of this game might came out. I would rather prefer they just update this game to a new engine, sadly, updating the game core is not always possible, and not the best thing to do, as you will carry bugs and defects from the previous versions of the game, but you should be safe for long enough as the engine is pretty new (unreal engine 5)

So now I've already payed 3 times for these Williams tables :)
Lucky, Pinball FX is good. And bought at 50% reduction. But it is about time they launch some other original tables besides the ones they already already tripled out;
