Aliens was a game by Mike Hamilton for the Commodore PET. It was released as part of Cursor issue 16 in January 1980. Cursor was a tape magazine for the Commodore PET machines that ran for 30 issues. A tape magazine is one that was distributed on cassette tape rather than paper, although there was often a brief paper newsletter included which would include instructions for the software. This was ideal for home computers as it allowed ready to run programs to be included.
In Aliens, you control a ship at the bottom of the screen shooting an endless stream of descending aliens. If one reached the bottom of the screen, the aliens have successfully landed and the game is over. The stream of aliens speeds up the longer you last.
This run was made on the 16th July 2023, using the Pantheon emulator on PC. The score reached was 77 aliens zapped. For the 'Accuracy' category at lvlupscore.com, the score is calculated as the number of aliens destroyed minus the number of missed shots. In this case there were 91 shots and 77 aliens zapped, giving 14 misses. 77 aliens minus 14 misses gives an accuracy score of 63 points.
