Food Fight is a game by GCC, created on behalf of Atari. It was released into arcades in March 1983.
Gameplay is similar to Robotron: 2084 but with additional features. Your character, Charley Chuck, has to get to the Ice-cream before it melts - failure to do so costs a life. The chefs try to stop you, either by touching you or throwing food at you. You can temporarily remove them from play by throwing food back at them or luring them into holes (which you must also avoid). In order to throw food, you and the chefs must first stock up on it from the piles of foodstuffs scattered around the screen. Most stockpiles of food run down as you use them, but watermelons don't.
This run was played using the Steam version of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration on PC. The date of play was the 23rd April 2023. The final score was 24,300 points.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is just that, a celebration of 50 years of Atari. Although there have been many Atari game compilations over the years, this one is the best yet, lovingly put together with many documents and features within it. It's like visiting an interactive museum.
