Millipede was the follow up to Centipede and was released by Atari in 1982. Programming was again by Ed Logg, being joined by a very young Mark Cerny.
The premise is almost exactly the same as Centipede, but with more features. You now play an elf firing magic arrows to defeat the creatures of the mushroom forest. If you enjoyed Centipede, the new creatures and their attributes mean you will enjoy this even more.
This run was played using the Steam version of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration on PC. The date of play was the 16th April 2023. The final score was 34,626 points.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is just that, a celebration of 50 years of Atari. Although there have been many Atari game compilations over the years, this one is the best yet, lovingly put together with many documents and features within it. It's like visiting an interactive museum.
