There is a version of this for the Amiga called Lords of War. Wasn't aware of that it was an arcade conversion. Great game on the Amiga :-)

Warlords is a Pong type game released by Atari in 1980. Up to four layers control a paddle-like shield that surrounds a castle. Any missing humans are replaced by the computer player. A dragon launches a fireball into play and then all the players try to destroy the other players castles by bouncing the ball at them. If any ball reaches the interior icon of the castle, that player is eliminated.
During play, the ball can be caught and then thrown to add an extra dimension to the gameplay, but these also weakens your own walls. More fireballs appear during play, usually when a Warlord is destroyed. Overall, this is a good evolution of the Pong genre and remains quite popular to this day thanks to it's player vs player mechanic.
This run was played using the Steam version of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration on PC. The date of play was the 10th April 2023. The final score was 6,125 points.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is just that, a celebration of 50 years of Atari. Although there have been many Atari game compilations over the years, this one is the best yet, lovingly put together with many documents and features within it. It's like visiting an interactive museum.
