Left and right movement set to loose, up and down set tight to keep the axis steady. Special controller indeed.
Imo the stick is faster than the paddle.
Breakout was my 1st 5200 game, and enjoyed taking on the challenge to transition from paddle to stick. Once it clicked, my brain wished the 2600 used stick, and Atari's choice made sense.
