Play the game in 1 player mode with default settings. The Amiga version of Zool 2 was released in both an OCS/ECS version for older Amiga computers and an AGA version for the newer A1200 and A4000 systems. Although the gameplay is essentially the same, there are several differences between the two versions. The OCS/ECS version was designed for classic Amiga systems such as the A500 and A600. It features simpler backgrounds and no bitmap-based parallax effects, giving the game a cleaner and sometimes more readable appearance. It also has five energy bars, uses the Space key for bombs and contains five music tracks, including music during loading. The AGA version, designed for the Amiga A1200 and A4000, takes advantage of the more powerful AGA chipset. It features more colourful and detailed graphics, enhanced backgrounds and additional parallax effects, making the game look more impressive overall. However, the more detailed backgrounds can also make the action slightly busier on screen. The AGA version has four energy bars, uses the B key for bombs and contains four music tracks. It also allows the player to switch music and sound effects on or off during the game. Both versions retain the same fast-paced platform gameplay and level design, so the differences are mainly related to graphics, sound, controls and technical features rather than the actual game mechanics. For the classic A500 experience, the OCS/ECS version is the more authentic choice, while the AGA version offers the most advanced graphics available in the standard Amiga releases. There is also a CD32 version, which adds CD-quality audio, an animated introduction and an additional Paper Plains world. |

First "Easy" run for my Amiga Bucket list - AGA is heavily glitching, nothing I can do sadly - it's only of graphical nature, no issues with the gameplay itself tho.
