I was confused about that as well. "And still am"

Seems to put up a number at the beginning of each life.

My 1st life at the start it says 2.
My 2nd life at 10:47 it says 1.
and my 3rd life at 12:45 it says 3.

So I have no idea. But I definetly played game 1, so thanks for the vote!

checked original hardware evidence : OK console and cartridge on video
checked settings : Game 1 / 3 ships : ok @ start (i don't know why the 1 number change in 2 ?)
