Oh. I thought that voting would be allowed to finish first and decide if that was even needed.

Ah, those are really good suggestions honestly. :)
I'm totally up for those. Like you said, those are easy to understand, the players have some options to choose from which category to tackle, all sounds good to me!

Ok, so we can make new variations (categories on lvlupscore) for this game then i can move this score to the new variation.
Now, question, how to call them ?
Blue Table / All Tactics Allowed
Red Table / All Tactics Allowed
Blue Table / No Mewtwo Farm
Red Table / No Mewtwo Farm
What do you think ?
I mean, the name of the variation have to be enough simple for most players (and future) will understand quickly.
I also can add a specific text on the specific rule location.
and i also think about a "only 1 ball" variation if someone (later) wanna play on this way :)

Yes, this trick is also available on the Red table. Only bonus stage 1 and 2 are different, but 3 is Mewtwo for both tables. :)
I'm totally in for different categories, since this game can be played in different ways when it comes to gaining points. Can be done by only catching and evolving Pokemon (and failing bonus stages on purpose), can be done the way where the player simply stalls on the Mewtwo bonus stage, and another to simply play and beat everything in every way without waiting.
I have to be honest, I've been thinking for years to try silly things like setting a score with Tilt (like this run) and with No Tilt. Maybe we should discuss this with the whole community as there might be some who'll be interested to see how different challenges can be done in this game.
As for RetroGamingVaultNL's response (going to answer this way, otherwise you'll see twice the amount of messages from my end), it only matters if you don't want to encounter Mew just yet. For my run however, I could indeed have beaten Mewtwo just to get out the bonus stage quicker, and that the bonus stage goes back to 1. And no worries! I'm learning as well and the feedback you gave is fair and understandable, I fully understand it. :)

Another question : is this trick is available on the "Red table" variation ? (sorry i don't really know the game :/ )
4kizan
On my side, i think this is a "trick" not really intended on classic gaming and the explanation of Brenfu is also my idea.
So i am also agree to get a specific variation with "Mewtwo trick allowed" and another disallow. It will be another challenge and another way of play this game (and i guess, both are fun to play).
So i prefer to add a new variation for this game. As an admin of GBC, i can do it now but i need some agreements.

Does it really matters if you beat him or not in the end for you? I think with your skill in this game you dont need it .. Thats is why i have this point of view ... Btw your stream is fun and your not a bad gamer or something .. So no hard feelings its just my opinion and greetings from holland :-) I cancel the vote but i play games how they are intended thats another reason for me why i have an opinion like this .. Its nothing personal :-)

We might need to discuss about this point of view and I'm all ear when it comes to learning new things and understand people's perspective. Whenever I do nothing, I actually gain no points. I only let the timer run down. Can you share your point of view of how this specifically is pointfarming??
If it's from a completely different reason, such as failing the Mewtwo bonus stage on purpose after getting 1+ billion points and not making the last hit just like that, that I can understand; that can be seen as actual pointfarming; this way you gain points "quicker" than defeating the bonus stage and doing all the other bonus stages over again until you're facing Mewtwo again.
--
P.s.: I also read the comments until JakeTheDog's post, and all I can say is that I'm glad I got the opportunity to share this. Like what BrenFu says, gaining points on pinball machines and games can be done in many ways, if it isn't for gaining points without waiting, then people will gain points quicker (with strategies or exploits, since both CAN be seen as being the same thing for pinball games).
Hope we can get something interesting out of this in the future. :)

I scoured through most of it - no proof of milking, the MewTwo thing is probably at the voters leisure, hard for me to tell what this would be considered as.
Score checks out, the feat of a 21hr run is crazy to me, so that one is very special, love it!
And going Eurobeat towards the end freshens the watch a lot - a yes for me!

Brilliant display of game mastery and endurance. Well done.
I think this run should probably be in a category where any amount of point farming is allowed because of the number of times the Mewtwo bonus stage is repeated while intentionally avoiding completing it. There are several other games that have this type of point farming category added, its just not on this one yet (admins can easily add it).
I know the idea of point farming is a grey area for high scores, and especially pinball games, but for me it is when a player has a clear opportunity to progress the game or complete a task and avoids doing so for the purpose of repeatedly gaining score in that area without risk.
In the Part 1 video alone the Mewtwo stage is used for gaining points while avoiding completion 13 times at
21:10, 30:00, 36:46, 43:00, 51:42, 56:35, 1:17:13, 1:24:14, 1:32:30, 1:41:26, 1:45:39, 1:52:18, 1:57:35
I've not watched the other 10 videos yet, but I expect there are many more.
Since the default rules for this particular category are against excessive point farming I will vote no on this particular one. This is still a fantastic run and deserves to be recorded here and take a top spot, but I think there should be a separate variation for using this particular method which I would happily vote yes on.
It would be great if you could do another run for this category and complete the Mewtwo stages as they come up. I've no doubt your score would still be huge!

I played on RetroArch v1.9.9 using the mGBA core. RetroArch is connected to RetroAchievements.org as well as enabled leaderboards for it. The score you see in the bottom-right corner is data specifically for RetroAchievements, I wish I knew how to make the text in the button-right corner invisible while still running in the background.
I can't wait to see more competitors, especially for this game! :D

Since the site is limited to posting evidence videos (a max. of 10) at the time I submitted this, here's the link for the last and most important part: https://youtu.be/Ekgr-nWUqOo
First off, I'm terribly sorry for having such a long non-stop run submitted. While this game has a built-in quicksave feature so that you can continue playing later, I went for a whole speedrun, while also having the in-game score submitted to RetroArchievements.org.
As for how this whole run goes, while it is impressive that I managed to play for 21 hours straight, the general rules do state that excessively point farming isn't allowed. And some weird physical glitches did happen (where the ball is stuck on the flipper, I have no control on when and why this happens, it happens in this game sometimes). So I still completely understand if this one won't get accepted here.
