Oh, cool! I was also wondering are there any other unlockables, since there seems to be a couple more spaces for other titles on the menu screen.

I was wondering too. I remember playing the X68000 version you needed to press some buttons. On the NDS it is as follow. I'll add it to the specific rules so everybody can activate it.

Go to Xevious, then press Settings (2). Hit "Hardcore Options", and hit Xevious Version. Choose "Super Xevious", and touch "Confirm".You will now be able to choose Super Xevious from the arcade and Score Attack menus.
Super Xevious is a more difficult version of Xevious that was originally given a limited release.
