Y as shoot. I hold half the controller on my knee to use my index finger to fast click.
I've tried using the R trigger for shooting in games but it's too stiff and not clicky enough, the mode button on a RetroBit 6 button works better for that but the dpad on that thing broke off a couple days ago so I'm using my backup iNNEXT for now.
Using a SNES controller for Sega games may be a sin for all I know. Jk

Man the only thing that stops me from playing this more is the lack of auto fire. Tooo much clicking!!
The version I've put the most time into is the Xbox 360 version on Sonic's Genesis Collection "even though it's not a Genesis game or a Sonic game.. it's the arcade emulated but a few arcade games ended up on the Genesis collection as a bonus"
Technically the 32X version is better for having perfect sound as where the Xbox 360 ver is off pitch, but the 360 ver has autofire which makes it more enjoyable for me, as well as analog control.
Sadly my 360 just started dealing with some red ring b.s. since it's the old white model.. it's 💔 broken.
So now I'm playing the 32X ver via emulation. Strengthening my index finger to slap that button silly!
