It is discouraged and may lead to voters not accepting your score to - excessively point farm - use glitches or other game exploits |

There is a trick in the Nintendo version where the player can earn extra lines by watching the attract mode and pressing start when the computer is in the process of clearing a line. When the game starts, the player will be credited with the cleared line(s) after dropping their first piece. Usage of this trick is prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification of your attempt.
